Have You Read Your Pet’s Food Label?

Good information about what we should be feeding our pets. It’s very easy for inside cats, especially, to become obese if they are fed on a diet of carbohydrates, which predominate many dry foods.

In our house we have been on a healthy eating journey. We are trying to cut down on processed foods and foods with chemicals in them. Its has been a great experience and has had wonderful affects for the health of my whole family. Well, my whole human family. I hate to say it but I totally forgot about my furry family. I assumed that because I was feeding my pets a good name brand food that it would be full of good healthy ingredients. Then I recently read an article about the worst brands to feed your dog.  It had all the brands I expected on it, the lower priced foods. I pay over $50 per bag for my food and I never expected to see “higher priced/ quality” foods on the list. Even some foods that are sold in most veterinary offices.

Cats spend a lot of time waiting

Hazel is a very patient cat. When she’s not sleeping, she’s usually waiting for something.
